At last night’s meeting of Ballinrobe GAA club executive committee, a vote of congratulations was passed to Ballinrobe Racecourse on their selection as Horse Racing Ireland’s Racecourse of the Year. This is a huge honour for the course and reflects decades of hard work put in by many people.

Now that we have played our final competitive game of the season, the club would like to thank all who contributed in any way to the season just over: Players at all grades, from the youngest to the oldest; Managers, selectors, coaches, trainers and everyone else who helped out in any way with team preparations; Parents, supporters, sponsors, buyers of tickets; Our impressive army of volunteers who assisted in a multitude of ways; All opposing teams, referees, linesemen, board officers and others who make the games possible. We are particularly grateful to the local media for their generous coverage of our events. We will have a number of social events in the coming weeks, all of which will be revealed to you shortly.
