Seniors still unbeaten in secondary league

ROUND 3
Ballinrobe 1-12
Ballina 0-6

THE club’s senior team maintained their 100% record in the Michael Walsh Secondary League with a nine-point win over Ballina Stephenites at Flanagan Park on Saturday evening.
A first half goal from Sean Burke set Ballinrobe on their way and an understrength Ballina outfit were always chasing the game from there.
Ballinrobe led at half-time by 1-7 to 0-3 and managed to keep a disappointing Stephenites side at arm’s length throughout the second half.
This was Ballinrobe’s third win of the Secondary League and means the team are on top of the section 2 table ahead of a meeting with Castlebar Mitchels at the end of May.
Norman O’Brien and the management team will be happy to have gotten another sixty minutes of football under the team’s belt, ahead of their next senior league match against Charlestown in two weeks time.
