Our County Cup semi-final versus Breaffy takes place this Sunday at 12noon – but in Ballindine, and not Claremorris as previously advertised. Initially, the game was scheduled for 2.30pm, but has been changed to facilitate those attending the wedding of our former defender Paul Finnerty and his Breaffy wife-to-be Louise Conway, so it’s a real Ballinrobe-Breaffy day. Referee is John Walker. We are in the County Cup semi-final by virtue of our O’Mara Cup final win. Breaffy won the Kelly Cup in west Mayo.

John Bradley is one of the chief organisers of a Table Quiz in aid of Special Olympics on Thursday week, May 9, in Costello’s Bar, Abbey Street, Ballinrobe. John and his quiz cohorts are great supporters of our quizzes, our weekly Lotto, and, indeed, our club teams. So we are urging club members to turn out in large numbers to support their quiz.

And, yes, we do mean NOW! Quality Street are down to the last few hours (just over 2 1/2 hours) in their battle to get to the next round of the Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2013. There’s a very strong club connection here. Martin Farragher and Michael Ansbro both play with the club and have done so for many years. Ailise Burke comes from a very strong GAA family – her father Billy is a former Mayo intermediate football championship winner with the club, and has been actively involved in the club all his life. Let’s play our part now to help them over the line. They’re currently leading but many’s a game was lost in the closing minutes. Let’s make sure we do our bit to push them home – just go to the link below and give them 5 stars, Like the song, Tweet it, and add a comment under the video: http://www.redbullbedroomjam.ie/2013-band/quality-street/ It is important to add that link to all your Tweets, Facebook comments etc.
