U10 Ladies vs Burrishoole

By Declan O’Loughlin Our ladies U10s played Burrishoole at home in Ballinrobe on the 5th of July, we did not have our usual numbers with a lot of girls on holidays that week. Luckily the girls we had played very well and these bunch of young ladies always do their best. The girls played very well with great determination and skill against a very talented Burrishoole team. Cul Camp this week so there will be no training this Wednesday with a blitz on Saturday in the Neale. Parents will be texted with details during the week. A selection some of the action shots from the game, many thanks to Des for the great photographs.

Ladies U10s match vs Kilmaine

By Declan O’Louglin Our U10 ladies played their first game in Flanagan Park in 2017. On a beautiful May evening we had 22 players line out and we fielded two teams. Both our teams played really well, as with all games in this age group we are much more concerned about developing skills and playing football than who wins or looses. With this group are really seeing the results of all their hard work and practice since they started their Pella league in February. Well done girls and keep practicing!! Thanks to Kilmaine for making the trip in and hopefully their players enjoyed the games as well. Many thanks to the parents for getting the girls to training and matches. Thanks to Jarlath O’Connor and Andy Walsh for refereeing the two games.

U12 Pella League Final

Last Thursday 16th March saw the completion of the U12 Pella league. We had a great turnout to watch our last games and those in attendance were treated to a great display of football. The games were very competitive but played in a great spirit and all the players were rightly proud of the way they played. Thanks to Kevin, John, Sean and Peter for organising and running the league and to John F and staff at the Lakeside for hosting us once again. Thanks to our Parents for ensuring the boys kept to their match schedules and who came out week on week to support the boys. Training returns outdoors Thursday 23th March at 7pm in Flanagan Park.
